Vapor in the Wind

“Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.”
James 4:14
Have you ever paused and thought, "Where did the time go?" One moment you're welcoming a new year, and before you know it, you're watching the months fly by like pages in the wind. The truth is, time moves fast. Days turn into weeks, weeks into months, and months into years—quietly and quickly.
James reminds us in Scripture that our life is like a mist—a vapor. It appears for a moment and then it's gone. That’s not to make us feel hopeless, but to wake us up. God is reminding us how precious our time is and how important it is to live with eternity in mind.
So what are we doing with the time we’ve been given? Are we spending it chasing things that fade, or are we using it to love, to serve, and to grow closer to Christ?
Every second we’re given is a gift. And though we can't slow time down, we can choose how we spend it. Let’s not wait for tomorrow to say what we should have said today. Let’s not put off living for God until it’s more “convenient.” Let’s make every moment count.
