God's Greater Plan Will Make You Forget What You Lost

"See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?

I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."

Isaiah 43:19

Sometimes, loss feels final. A door closes, a chapter ends, and we’re left with a sense of emptiness. There are dreams that didn’t come true, relationships that ended, or opportunities that slipped through our hands. And in the middle of that pain, it’s easy to question God’s plan.

We wonder, “Why did this happen?” or “What now?”.

But God—He’s not finished. In fact, He’s just getting started. What you see as an ending, He sees as the beginning of something new and better.

While I was listening to the song “Something Better” by Blanca and Tauren Wells, I had a moment of clarity. The lyrics reminded me that God truly has something better. His greater plan has a way of gently overshadowing the pain of the past. It doesn’t just comfort you—it changes your perspective. It makes you realize that what you lost isn’t worth comparing to what He’s preparing.

God specializes in new things. He brings beauty from ashes, joy from mourning, and hope from heartache. What you thought was the best part of your life might just be the preparation for the real blessing to come.

His plans have a way of gently erasing the pain of what was, replacing it with peace and purpose. And when that "new thing" begins to bloom, it will make you say "Lord, now I understand". You’ll understand why some things had to be let go. You’ll look back—not in sorrow, but in awe of His faithfulness.

His plans are so good, they’ll make you forget what you cried for.
